It won’t come as a a surprise if I tell you that I love and admire everything that’s handmade or crafted be it baking, making preserves, sewing, knitting, woodworking, painting or anything else along those lines.
Over the last few weeks I managed to accumulate a number of preserves, there were pickles from Wales, damson jelly made of the damsons we picked during the bank holiday weekend and blackberry jam from Hampstead Heath.
All of these are delicious and very special as they are made by people I love. I need to make it my next year’s thing to take up preserving. I know of one book that’s good but if any of you have any other recommendations do let me know!
And I rather like the look of this book.
There is something I made myself and I am pretty happy with it, mind you I still have got heaps to learn.
It actually looks like a hat not like a pancake as my previous creation. This also motivated me to knit a jumper, fingers crossed.
