Garden jealousy

Last week I attended a few garden parties. They were all set in amazing gardens which made me yearn for one even more! The most impressive by far was this garden in Kentish Town, just the perfect mix of lounge area and vegetable patches with flowers and strawberries here and there.

There were fig and peach trees.

Great dining and bbq area.

A peak into the kitchen.

Veg patches with potatoes, artichokes, chard, beans and tomatoes to name a few.

Decent amount of grass for sunbathing and a strawberry wheelbarrow.

Washing line and herbs. This is like Toast catalogue!

If I had a garden I would grow peonies….

..and a cherry tree.

For now I can only dream.

beautiful! same here- no garden option for a while. would love to dine outside every summer evening but running to the nearest park with freshly cooked dinner is not bad either:)

    Chloe: hello!

stuffedmice: I guess that’s a good option if the park is nearby. I have Clapham Common on my doorstep for dinners but then I really want to grow my own flowers and veg.

gorgeous garden indeed! my parents gave me a fig tree for my birthday and we have 4 figs growing, but with everything we have on our plate at the moment, we don’t have the time to look after our roof terrace as much as we’d like to.

    Marta: oh sigh!

    if jane: thank you ;)

read me: I bet they will be sweet and juicy with all this sunshine! hope all is going well.

That is quite envy inducing…and you are so right about the resemblance to the Toast catalogue! Agree with you about the cherries and peonies in my own fictional garden.

so beautiful! I love the brick grill, and all the hydrangeas.

Laura: wouldn’t it be nice to have an outside space, sigh….

Abigail: Hello! the owner seems to have green fingers, everything was blooming.

How lovely… I’ve had major garden envy recently, too. (Ok, I’ve had it for years now but recently it has got worse!) This is the stuff of dreams. Peaches… peonies…figs…and I love the slightly mis-matched terracotta and gently weathered table.

  12. The Sneaky Magpie Says:

jane: I even have a plan of what I would grow I want it that much ;)

Sounds like you’re getting a garden soon! I planted a cherry tree out front which bore fruit for the first time this year but we’re planning to sell, now. I’ll be sad to leave the things I planted. x

  14. The Sneaky Magpie Says:

yes, fingers crossed. I think trees are very painful to leave behind as they take so long to grow and mature. x
