This post has been sitting in my draft folder for a long while, in fact it inspired this series. House of Hackney is one of those decadent luscious luxury brands that I love. The label is based in East London, the house of everything that’s trendy (mind you, apparently Peckham is on their toes!). The people behind this label manage to incorporate the history and tradition of the area into their designs with a modern quirky twist.
They make furniture, bed linen, china, wallpaper, fabrics, cushions and lighting. The lamp shades are so stunning it would be hard to ever switch the light off and I have been drooling over some of the fabrics for my bedroom curtains for some time. I might just start with some cushions, the goods are actually well priced given the quality and specialist skills that go into making them and the fact that everything is made in UK but it’s still bit expensive. Here are few of my favourite pieces.

i love the cushions–such a shame they are above my budget but i can drool over them online which is what i am off to do now :)
That vintage-y mirror is just to die for. And I love the ombre dress. The next time I’m in London I need to hit up Liberty, between you and Annie at Insideology all I ever hear are good things!
Lottie: I know and it would be a huge shame to get baby sick on them too!
Erin: you must go and see Liberty, it is the most beautiful shop ever. I had a loyalty card even before I moved to this country.
I have been coveting one of those seance lamps for ages but can’t get it past the PH darn it! I love their room in libbers, I always want to lie down in that four poster and sleep zzzz
Annie: I know, it looks so inviting after running around central London.
