Weekend continued…

This morning M announced he had a DIY project to do, all my friends were out of town, hung over, lost their voice or similar. The day turned out to be beautiful and warm so I grabbed my bike and went to Hyde Park.

First stop was at the Serpentine Gallery to see Jeff Koons: Popeye Series. No pictures allowed inside by I photographed the catalogue so here it is:

Parents seemed to enjoy showing their offsprings all those wonderful toys till they got to this image, kids heads were turned right away.

Afterward I had a stroll through the park along the pond, it seemed people were trying to catch the last bits of summer sunshine.

I have spent the afternoon on the common, next to my house, enjoying Nardulli’s super delicious ice cream and Generation X.

Left: strawberry sorbet and vanilla ice cream  Right: raspberry and mango sorbet

In the evening we went to the cinema to see Coco avant Chanel, at last! I loved the film, Audrey was wonderful and the cinematography stunning.

oh i can’t say i am a fan of koons (although i know tons of people who are!)…it’s the same here, everyone is grabbing the last bit of sun that they can. (i am hoping for an indian summer!!!!). oh and the sorbet looks fantastic…;))

I can see your point, for me it’s more the craftsmanship of the pieces than art that really made me look at his work, all the inflatable toys are made from aluminium, i couldn’t stop looking at the detail.

And big YES for indian summer.

yeah…there you go…i think that is why i am probably intrigued by his work rather than really enjoying it…

There is a store in TO, called Magic Pony and all they sell are toys for the adults. It is quite popular place here.

Well, I have to say I envy your bicycle basket- I want to get one for my bike, but every bike shoppe claims it won’t fit!

why do they say that Marta? Is it your handlebars? The bike shops tried to sell me some super sophisticated baskets with special fixing etc, had enough of them, so I went to a market and got this simple thing.
