House of Viktor and Rolf
Sunday, June 22nd, 2008Be sure not to miss the House of Viktor and Rolf exhibition at the Barbican Centre.
The most exciting part of the show is a huge doll house designed by Siebe Tettero with dolls dressed in miniature version of some of the best couture outfits. The replicas are painstakingly made and you can view them from a ladder through theater-like binoculars. They are truly stunning.
Throughout the exhibition you can see catwalk shows and the key pieces from the collections. My fav one was Long Live the Immaterial with adapted blue screen technology, the clothes had images reflected on them creating a magical catwalk show. The collection itself was absolutely amazing, Viktor and Rolf’s tailoring at its best!
Other included the new NO collection, the Russian Doll, Flowerbomb and Bedtime Story to name a few.
A treat for any fashion enthusiast.
